What I’m doing now

Hi. Much has changed. Donna and I got married. We packed up our life in Chicago, and drove across the country with Pix – who was a star car partner.

After publishing research and launching SamePage with David Vargas, I joined Heyday as Chief of Staff. We’ve built out our team to 8, our office in the vein of Christopher Alexander's patterns, and our AI* thinking tool to augment coaches and the founders they serve.

*Everyone’s building AI; we're just good at it because we've been doing it for awhile. Try for yourself!

I'm momentarily paused on the monthly Substack notes, under my publication Shorthand. I’m enjoying writing without a deadline, and something’s cooking here.

And /now, I'm looking out the back doors in my office in Temescal, Oakland. The garden is running rampant with fruits and veggies, and the sunshine peeks at us every day. Life is good.

I'm looking for East Bay folks who like talking about software and toolmaking, watching Spurs, keeping the A’s in Oakland, playing golf, or walking about a neighborhood or trail.

Love,

Bren

This is inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now movement, and reinforced by Tom Critchlow. Community is great. Thanks for the push-by-osmosis. 🙌🏼
